Mooiplaas River Cottage

Find us on the farm Mooiplaas, nestled in the heart
of the Breede River Valley. On this working farm,
you will be surrounded by majestic mountains and
sweeping vinyards. This beautiful stone cottage is
situated on the outskirts of Wolseley, just a hour
and thirty minutes drive from Cape Town at the end
of the Bainskloof Pass.

Feel at home

At your home away from home you will find two bedrooms,
a bathroom and a main en-suite bathroom. The main
bedroom consists of a queen size bed while the second
room has two single beds - the finest bedding will be
provided for your stay.

There are many activities to choose from in and around the vicinity of Mooiplaas - from swimming in the river, to fishing. Popular species that can be caught include Bass and Carp – a truly exceptional experience! You can walk and hike any place on this working farm. There are lots to see; a multitude of bird species are on offer, damara sheep, boer goats or just savour the surrounding indigenous fauna. If you enjoy the rough and tumble of a mountain bike, you will enjoy the variety on offer. You can choose from trails on the farm, or one of the many trails on offer close by.

Contact the Friendly 7/11 at (023) 231 0580 in Wolseley for the Kluitjieskraal Mountain Bike Trail. Cost involve are R25.00 per person.
